Portals. I sorta just... landed here.
[What he'd really done was throw himself into a few of them in fits of boredom. The portals had been really helpful, all things considered, because after not being able to come up with anything other than "the tour" for the first go round, he was probably going to be even more shit out of luck if he hadn't almost been beaned in the head with a heavy, expensive bottle of aged scotch and spat out at this romantic as hell locale in one go.]
And I've been doing this for years, you know. Nothing bad's happened yet.
[Except the whole, addiction and violent psychopathy stuff. But David totally doesn't need to know about that (yet.) No lost limbs, is what he's getting at.]
